A regional school on Democracy and Democratization in Asia has been organized within the framework of the MA course in Inter-Asia NGO Studies (MAINS), SungKongHoe University, Seoul. The course looks into the dynamics of societal changes and examines how people’s learning has been influencing the processes of democratization and social change. Practical learning from people’s participation in democratization processes and movements and resistance against hostile forces based on participants' experience is another important dimension of the course. Learning from the grassroots development organizations is another major feature of the course.
