Associate Professor in the Faculty of Political Science in Chulalongkorn University, Surichai is Director of the Center for Social Development Studies and was research advisor to the ARCM conducted research: Thai Migrant Workers in East and Southeast Asia. He has actively been involved in the Institute of Asian Studies and served as Acting Director of the Asian Research Center for Migration in Chulalongkorn.
Surichai is a founding member of ARENA and was the first Chair in the early 80s. Surichai is also a member of the Editorial Advisory Board.
