Coordinator of Policy and Campaigns in Oxfam Hong Kong, Lot is also
a Fellow of the Community-Based Coastal Resource Management Resource
Center of the College of Social Work and Community Development at the
University of the Philippines. Prior to her involvement with Oxfam Hong
Kong, she worked part time for ARENA, first as a volunteer, then as
fulltime staff where, among other things, she coordinated its project
on Capital Flows and organized the international and national workshops
on Short-Term Capital Flows: Arresting Speculation and Volatility. She
also worked as a Freelance Consultant to various international
organizations. In this capacity, she undertook gender policy and
programme audits, organizational audits, and capability-building on
organization development and participatory rural development.
Lot was Country Representative for the Philippines of Oxfam Great
Britain from 1995-1999, Deputy Executive Director of the
Citizen’s Disaster Response Center from 1988-1990 and Deputy
Secretary General Internal Affairs for the Kilusang Magbubukid ng
Pilipinas (KMP-Peasant Movement of the Philippines) from the years
1985-1988.
Lot obtained her MA in Social Anthropology of Development in the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in the University of London and has a long history of activism and development work.
Lot is a member of the ARENA Executive Board 2003 – 2006.
