Andrew is an academic staff member of the Department of Politics and International Relations, Faculty of Social Sciences, University Malaysia Sarawak. At UNIMAS, he teaches courses in politics, history and development while his research interests are in the area of politics and business, democracy, human rights and elections. A Malaysian national, he read his PhD in Development Studies at the London School of Economics and Political Science and received his PhD in 2002. He recieved his Master of Arts in Development Studies from Institute of Social Sciences, The Hague, The Netherlands.
He is presently an exco member of Aliran Kesedaran Negara, one of Malaysia¡¯s
the leading human rights NGOs in Malaysia, which publishes Aliran Monthly.
He was the Chairperson of Amnesty International Malaysia¡¯s Board of Governance
from 2004-2008. Apart from the above, he is currently contemplating the
impact benefits and costly personal time investments required in starting
his own blog¡¦ |
