Co-editor of the book Intersexions, Jeannie is a retired Adjunct Senior Research Fellow of the Centre for Cultural Research, University of Western Sydney, a centre for the production and communication of knowledge that aims to address the cultural contradictions and challenges of contemporary society,

Jeannie has widely written on women, racism, multiculturism, the media and more recently on issues such as streetscapes, public panics, fear, youth and violence.

Jeannie is co-author of the publication Racism, Ethnicity and the Media, 1994 and is currently conducting research on micro-cultures of public spaces and on social energy and violence.
